The Center for Medical Weight Loss offers comprehensive plans supervised only by Board Certified physicians that include a Very-Low-Calorie Diet. Our team consists of Marian Chen-Hah MD, Tara Breaux ANP-C, and Katie Swanton PA-C along with our well-trained staff to guide you and support you while you begin this new journey. We are committed to help you lose weight quickly and safely, but to also help you keep the weight off. Because of the intensity of the programs, your medical conditions will be assessed and managed as you begin to lose weight. Your medical problems such as hypertension and diabetes will improve as the weight begins to drop. At times, we may need to adjust your medications along with your other physicians. The products offered by the CMWL have higher nutritional standards than food sold over the counter. These products do meet the FDA requirements for medical foods as they contain all of the essential vitamins and minerals needed. You will be monitored closely either every week or every other week depending on the program. A Body Composition Analysis will be performed at each visit.
In this office, there are three programs to choose from and the decision is determined and based upon your motivation and financial status.
The Very-Low-Calorie Diet: This is for those individuals who have will power and requires true commitment. You will be given shakes and snack bars as meal substitutes. You will stay on this diet for at least six weeks. After the consultation, we will be able to predict the amount of weight loss that you can expect over the course of six weeks. The price for this program is $120-$183 per week depending on the amount of food that you need.
The Modified Diet: This is a mid-level plan for those who want to lose weight but do not want to be on meal replacements completely. You are allowed one reasonable meal a day. We will work with you in planning you healthy meals to go with the Shakes and Bars. The pricing is $180-$264 for two weeks worth of food.
The Low Carbohydrate Diet: This is intended for those individuals who may not have a lot of weight to lose but just want to maintain their weight at a healthy level. Medications or vitamin supplements may or may not be used alongside with all of the above diets.
TO GET STARTED: Call our office to set up a consultation. There is a $25 consultation fee which will include your first Body Composition Analysis and a visit with one of the providers. If you are serious about controlling your weight and want to get started with one of the programs at the first visit, we will begin our medical assessment and examination at this visit. Otherwise you can set up your History and Physical at another date. The History and Physical will be the only visit that can be billed through your insurance along with necessary labs or EKG. You must have the History and Physical to begin any of the programs. Subsequent visits will not be covered by insurance unless we are managing your medical conditions. If you want us to bill through your insurance for the History and Physical, please have your insurance information available to us when making the appointment.

It is great to be able to walk without my heart rate going up so high that I gasp for air.
